Piece of Life

Ire Clad

Ire Clad is a four-piece Heavy Metal band hailing from the Central Southern Tier of upstate New York. Jerrod Prevost (guitar) and Harrison Rumsey (guitar and lead vocals) rose from the ashes of a previous band to create a different sound, and that they did! In 2010, they rejoined forces with the intentions of starting a heavy band. They recruited Pete Schlough (drums) and Eric Rodriguez (bass) and over the next two years, the band proceeded to write and record their self-titled debut album, which they released in 2012. The CD was very well-received by their ever-growing fan base, as the band started playing shows in the Central and Upstate regions of New York. With creativity constantly flowing, it wasn't long before the band's sophomore album, 'God Of War' was released in 2014. 2015 marked a pivotal time for the band, with Rob Reis stepping in on drums early in the year, and Jason Kimbell taking over on bass late in the year. The band never missed a beat, however; keeping the juggernaut raging forward despite the lineup changes. Ire Clad has played many shows from small dive bars to outdoor festivals to bigger venues including The Lost Horizon in Syracuse and Montage Music Hall in Rochester. They have opened for national acts such as Prong, Anvil, Screaming For Silence, Otep and The Sword. Ire Clad's music can be described as heavy, melodic, eclectic and energetic. Harrison and Jerrod have a knack for complimenting each other's guitar parts, and with the solid rhythm section of Rob and Jason, the music is loud and heavy, intelligent and tight, infectious and ear-splitting. With a blend of old-school straight-up Heavy Metal and some elements of modern Metal, Ire Clad always delivers a massive performance. Their live shows are visually intoxicating as well as earth-rumbling!
